Weren't too impressed with Trieste. Being in northern Italy there's less of a mediterranean vibe... but also we just had bad weather... Everything changes so much when the sun is hiding!

Milan, Italy 01.05.16 - 04.05.16

A short stop in Milan because we had an overlay anyway - felt good to get some Italian pizza and western comfort (yes, by that we mean western coffee) in before it's time for Africa.

Bologna, Italy 04.08.16 - 06.08.16
First stop on in italy was Bologna - a beautiful, young and artistic place. The highlight was living in a punk house with seven students and no door in front of the bathroom... We missed picnics, parmasean and prosciutto <3

Siena, Italy 06.08.16 - 09.08.16

It's the peak of the Pokemon Go era, and we use pokestops to show us around Siena - a surprisingly characteristic city with an enormous main square.

Perugia, Italy 09.08.16 - 12.08.16

Living with a local couple outside the center of the walled city of Perugia, we find the best truffle pizza of our lives and amazing views of the Italian wine country.

Orvieto, Italy 12.08.16 - 15.08.16

Orvieto is one of the most romantic places we ever visited - apart from the insane lady that owned our (otherwise gorgeous) Airbnb. Well, we survived and got to pose in front of the famous street that's pictured on the wall of Alex's parents kitchen.

Rome, Italy 15.08.16 - 17.08.16

We round up our Italy trip in Rome, where Alex wins the Colosseum pokemon gym and we quickly tick off the tourist attractions. Not our cup of tea.
